Volunteers make our work possible. People’s Table relies on the time, skills, and compassion of community members who want to help their neighbors. If you are looking for volunteer opportunities in Milwaukee, we welcome you to join us.
Our volunteers help in many ways, from supporting our food pantry and community food programs to lending their skills for events, drives, and neighborhood initiatives. We are especially in need of bilingual volunteers to help us better serve our diverse community.
Get Started as a Volunteer
We make it easy to volunteer with People’s Table. Please share your preferred days and times below, and we will follow up to confirm your schedule.
Walk-in volunteers are welcome, too. If you are bringing a group, please contact us in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
Volunteer entrance is located at the doorway facing the church parking lot at 1414 W Becher St., Milwaukee, WI 53215.
Volunteer Hours and Roles
Pantry Prep
- Tuesdays: 8:00 am to 10:30 am
- Wednesdays: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Help unload food from our suppliers and prepare for food distribution later that day.
Food Distribution
- Tuesdays: 12:15 to 2:30 pm
- Wednesdays: 3:45 to 6:15 pm
Assist with Serving Food to the Community
Tasks include checking people in, distributing allocations, and restocking shelves.
Volunteer start and end times may vary depending on the day’s needs, and we appreciate your flexibility.
Other Ways to Help
